Radiation risk assessment for nuclear power plant staff in different emergency situations

The paper presents the results of radiation risk assessment for staff a nuclear power plant design during basis accident (spent fuel assembly falling on in reactor core or storage pool refueling operations) and beyond (large leakage primary coolant with failure active part emergency cooling system complete blackout 24 h). is based state-of-the-art models from United Nations Scientific Committee Effects Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) International Commission Radiological Protection (ICRP). calculation indicators occupational exposure NPP situations was carried out data obtained using computational module created COMSOL 5.6 multiphysics software, doses radioactive cloud internal due to inhalation such radionuclides as 134Cs, 137Cs, 131I, 133I, 90Sr. A feature this approach detailed consideration industrial site infrastructure, which allows obtaining more accurate radionuclide air distribution fallout.
